NFT and Cryptocurrency Risk Disclosure

NFTs and cryptocurrencies are highly volatile, speculative, and mostly unregulated assets. This page summarises the material risks of using AetherPot (the "Service"), operated by Orrex OÜ. You should read it in full before purchasing, listing, or transferring any NFT.

Nothing on the Service is financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. You are solely responsible for evaluating whether any transaction is appropriate for you, and you should consult an independent qualified professional if you are unsure.

The market price of NFTs and of the cryptocurrencies used to buy them (including POL/MATIC on Polygon) can change rapidly and unpredictably. The price you pay today may bear no relation to any future market price, and the asset you buy may become illiquid, unsellable, or worth nothing. There is no guarantee that any NFT listed on the Service can be resold for any price.

Transactions confirmed on the Polygon blockchain — including NFT purchases, transfers, listings, and cancellations — cannot be reversed, undone, or refunded by Orrex OÜ, the buyer, the seller, or any third party. Always verify the contract address, token ID, and recipient before confirming a transaction in your wallet.

You are solely responsible for securing your wallet's seed phrase and private keys. If you lose them, your NFTs and crypto will be permanently inaccessible. If they are stolen, an attacker can drain your wallet, and Orrex OÜ cannot recover the assets or reverse the transactions.

Orrex OÜ will never ask you for your seed phrase or private key under any circumstances. Treat any such request as a phishing attempt.

Every on-chain action on Polygon requires a network fee ("gas fee") paid in POL/MATIC. Gas fees are set by the network, not by Orrex OÜ, and can fluctuate dramatically with network demand. Failed transactions still consume gas. Make sure your wallet has enough POL to cover the gas cost in addition to the item price.

The Service relies on smart contracts deployed on the Polygon blockchain. While Orrex OÜ takes reasonable care in writing and reviewing those contracts, smart contracts may contain bugs, vulnerabilities, or unexpected behaviour that could result in loss of funds. Audits and testing reduce but do not eliminate this risk.

The Service integrates third-party providers including wallet software (e.g. MetaMask), RPC endpoints, IPFS gateways, fiat-onramp partners, and Polygon itself. Outages, security incidents, regulatory changes, or business decisions by any of these third parties can interrupt or prevent your use of the Service. Orrex OÜ is not liable for losses arising from third-party failure.

Ownership of an NFT records a token on the blockchain but does not automatically transfer copyright, trademark, or moral rights in the underlying artwork. Some listings may misrepresent authorship, originality, or rights. Verify the creator's identity and any licence grants independently before purchasing.

The legal treatment of NFTs and cryptocurrencies varies by jurisdiction and is rapidly evolving. New regulation may restrict, tax, or prohibit activities that were previously permitted. You are responsible for understanding and complying with all laws and tax obligations applicable to you, including those relating to anti-money-laundering and reporting of digital-asset holdings.

NFTs and cryptocurrencies are not deposits and are not insured by any government deposit-insurance scheme (such as the FDIC in the United States, the deposit-guarantee schemes in the EU, or equivalent bodies). If your assets are lost or stolen, no public compensation scheme will reimburse you.

By using the Service you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted the risks described above. You confirm that you are purchasing NFTs and cryptocurrencies at your own risk and discretion.
